We're going to try and steal two or three games from some of the teams that we lost to in the first half. And hold serve against teams we did beat, which should put us in that top four. And that's a good place to be.

For me, personally, I love to see the teams going to places we never get to see in mainstream media. . . . The value of the programming is clear. Everybody knows how valuable San Diego State is to this market. Cox doesn't have 90 percent of the market because they don't know how to serve their local customers, so they know in order to best serve the local customers that this programming is very, very important.

We're talking about a major art gallery that will be a meeting place. We want to not only represent quality artists, but to have classes, to involve the local schools, to touch the community much the same way we've created the arts and business alliance.

The demand for traveler's checks has been declining over the past several years. With more consumers having access to electronic money, the need for a secure traveler's check is diminishing.

The whole goal in this place was to grab the local community. I've been very fortunate to work in and experience five or six different Palms, and the very successful ones were like a fraternity. It was the same core of people spending their money. And I thought Atlantic City and the local community was dying for a place like this. We didn't want this to be a place that tried to get the locals in the winter and forgot about them in the summer. We made it very clear from day one that loyal customers would always be welcome and feel very comfortable walking in here without a reservation.

Our concern is about the traveler, not the politics. What really matters is what the traveler needs to know.

There were a number of concerns raised by state and local elected officials. In meeting with them and local Workforce Investment Board leaders, the decision was made to continue the services.

It just showed that we have to serve better and serve receive better. We aren't going to get any crushing blows against good teams.

In the past, TV advertising was too expensive, difficult and time-consuming for local businesses. In addition, conventional ad agencies simply aren't equipped to serve local customers. Now that Spot Runner has brought the entire advertising process online, even the smallest local business can capitalize on the power of television to build its brand and attract new customers.
