We certainly knew that large numbers of malnourished children lived in South Asia, but what this report now shows us is the shocking fact that the rates of under-nutrition in South Asia are nearly double those in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Our success and growth in Asia mirrors our success and growth elsewhere around the world. Over the last five years, MGM has increased its channel interests from approximately 25 countries and territories in a handful of regions to over 110 across Europe, Latin American, Africa, and Asia and the Pacific Rim.

If we introduce, say, 500 workers from each of these countries, I think this number can easily be absorbed by Taiwan's market and in the mean time, it will significantly benefit our small Pacific allies.

The Chinese encountered great prejudice in places like Southeast Asia where they assumed these middle-man minority roles, as Armenians and Jews have done in other countries.

In recognition of what we have done for the Tsunami victims in Asia and even Africa, ... we have always responded to people when hurricanes, earthquakes and other disasters have struck, putting aside our political in differences. So now we see countries doing the same, helping people not the government.

You'll find that families in Africa and Asia are very much like we are, people will sell the family pig or cow in Asia to help their child if it gets sick.

My job is not done. I address my songs now to the third world. I am popular all over Asia and Africa and the Middle East, not to speak of South Africa, where I'm trying to go to see Nelson Mandela.
