en There's something about your child's child that just makes you want to spend money. From the parents point of view, its a wonderful thing, too, unless you run into a situation where the grandparents are buying things that you don't want.

en Sometimes parents want to protect their child. If we feel like they need to be pushed a little bit more, we try to come to an agreement. So he gradually came back around.

What the offender is doing is they're observing this child as they start to increase their isolation, and if it's going well in their mind that's when the opportunity comes up for the child to be abused.

en I think parents are very good at saying, my child is a bright child, or my child is good at thinking outside the box. You have to look at the question of, does my child need a program like this?

en All of these baskets go to families ... and this is part of our homelessness prevention. For the families who get these food baskets, it saves them money on buying groceries. They can put that money toward a bill, electricity or water. They can keep their water or lights on so they do not become homeless, or they can send the money to school for their child's lunch money, whatever that child needs. They can come here and get groceries. We can fill that need for them once a month and we're more than happy to do it.

en Give your student the opportunity to earn money while under your roof. Agree on a reasonable split of your child's earnings--save most for school, but don't forget some fun. Allow your child to make decisions on how to spend some of the money on a car or a trip to Europe. You want to start early so you can guide your children and have some influence over their decisions.
