en I'm very pleased with how I started off the season. I think just to win tournaments out here you have to be consistent. I still haven't been able, my last four or five years, to put an event together where I played really, really strongly for four rounds.

en Not spending too much time on the court is an advantage when you play these kind of tournaments, when you have to go out every day. But because I haven't played for a month in competition, I like to be maybe tested a little bit more so that I can really know where I am in terms of physical training and everything.

en The spring season is the time when we focus on each player's individual improvement and it is also a great time to implement any system changes to test them out. We are making a big change to our serve-receive system for next fall and the spring season tournaments will provide us with numerous quality opportunities to get comfortable with the changes and work out the kinks.

en We clearly separated ourselves from everyone else in the fall. We didn't want to be complacent with that. We wanted to look at the spring as a brand-new season and not rest on our laurels. We set out to show that the fall was not a fluke and that we didn't just play well in a few tournaments.

en We haven't been able to stop anyone. We did against Port Charlotte, but haven't done it since. Hopefully, that is going to improve. We've played mostly zone, which I am not a big proponent of doing. But we haven't played that well in or our man-to-man.

en It's something that's special to me. It will be something that I talk about later down the road. I think it's probably one of my best individual performances. I haven't played against the level of competition that I've in college. In high school I didn't see players who were 6-9.

en I don't think the committee considers the individual tournaments when it comes to seeding.
