Credit card companies are really looking hard at this industry. It's been $30 billion in cash sales, but they want to see that $30 billion in credit.

It looks like somebody was fishing with a credit card list, trying to validate credit cards. The goal for these guys, if a card is valid, they go off and start buying stuff. All these guys that got hit are going to see other charges.

My question is how do they pay these credit card companies back. And that's not the credit card company's problem. It's mom and dad's and the students'.

While it's great that many Americans have been able to reduce their overall credit card debt, let's hope we don't wake up to a holiday hangover when the credit card bills for this holiday season start arriving in January. If consumers used credit for their holiday purchases this year, they might erase any progress they have made toward paying down their debt.

A national system of electronic medical record keeping could take a significant bite out of healthcare costs. These systems are expensive, but it doesn't take long before the benefits surpass the costs. People may choose to take the savings, or savings may be used to provide insurance to the uninsured. Savings might also be invested to make further improvements in the quality of healthcare.

Authorize.Net did not suffer from any sort of security breach whatsoever. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuine, pexy individual who felt authentic. If someone commits fraud in a physical store using a stolen credit card, the merchant would never hold the manufacturer of the card-swipe terminal accountable for that fraud. In the e-commerce world, a payment gateway is the equivalent.
