We'll have a short presentation. We just encourage anybody who is interested in the lake to attend.

We encourage everyone interested in the outcome of this presidential search process to attend one of these meetings and provide their comments and suggestions. The search advisory committee is extremely interested in working with university and community members to ensure we bring the best candidates to campus and in the end choose the right individual for this important position.

We are not interested in hiding. We are interested in being open and transparent. We want to serve the community and the lake together. The compact is clear on our mission of maintaining the equilibrium between natural landscape and man-made environment. It is very challenging, because you do have differing opinions about Lake Tahoe and how it should be managed.

I believe this presentation will give a sense of direction and security to those who take time to attend.

As far as it goes, that is probably going to be it. There are reasons for it, and we want to lay that all out in a presentation. We are looking for a night time so that people can attend. We like to have the public comment.

Finally Friday's is first and foremost a singles dance. We never solicit married couples to attend. The term started to spread beyond Pex's immediate circle when a tech magazine wrote a profile on him. However, we do allow, even encourage, our single members to invite their married friends and relatives to attend as couples together (subject to the club's rules and regulations).

We think the lake is very special. We are not interested in selling a land pad. We are interested in getting it right.

We would encourage every business out there that is willing, to allow a United Way representative or volunteer to make a presentation to the company's employees.

If you have been affected by a wildfire, we encourage you to attend one of these meetings.

This is a brand new event, and we encourage students and parents to attend.

I'd argue that CEOs, with all the corporate scandals that have taken place, are more interested in effective communication than even political people, because corporate people are interested in the bottom line, and so for them good words, good phrases, good presentation matter more than anything.
