Every position is up for grabs. It looks like we're going to play an up-down style with [first-round pick] T.J. Ford as the point guard -- which suits me great -- but other than that, who knows?

He's a point guard but he can also play the two guard position. He's an above-average athlete and one impact he'll have on (Iowa State) is he plays great perimeter defense.

Andre really has improved. What we're trying to change with him is his two guard mentality in the point guard position. When he penetrates, it's to score, and that's what he had to do in high school. He has point guard skills, but not a point guard mentality. So we've got to develop that and it's going to take some time. It's tough to learn.

There are so many times that Zach will pass up a shot to get an assist. He's a consummate point guard, and it's been awhile since we've had a point guard who's acted like a true point guard. He's helped Matt get into the right scoring position a lot.

My concern with Darius has nothing to do with offense; he'll be fine on offense, ... It has to do with whether he can guard the position. Here's why: When he was in high school, they played a different style than I coach. It was, 'press all over and try to steal the ball.' You look at all of the teams that make it to the Final Four, they have great guard play. Not just point guard play, but guard play.

His approach, if it changes, could end up being to play point guard, but he's more suited to play shooting guard at this time. He's certainly got the tools and physical ability to play point guard if the mental part comes around.

We will be in the market to add depth at the point guard position. If we can't, we still have four guys who can handle the backup point guard position.

I guess I'm not a point guard. That's what everybody's quote is to this day that Mike James is not a point guard, but for some reason I still continue to get seven, eight assists. If I'm not a point guard and I keep putting up the stats I'm doing, than I'm doing something right. At one point in time, I thought he'd be a first-round pick. He's not productive enough, he's up and down, he flashes. He's got that huge frame. I put him in the second round to Oakland. Somebody in the second round is rolling the dice. If you ask me where he grades out, he doesn't grade out that high. Because you want that guy inside that makes more plays, makes more of an impact and maximizes that ability on a game-to-game basis. That's not a Gabe Watson. I'd say second round and a roll of the dice pick.

Their point guard is salty. We've got to eliminate some of his talents and make them play another style. Their wing people became the point to enter to the post. I thought we forced open the door, but they shut it.
