I really liked it up there. I loved their coaches and it just seems like a program on the rise.

I loved the coaches, the area and the team. They've gotten in some good recruits lately. I think (the program) is right on the edge of taking off.

It's a tribute to the program, how far it's come and the girls that have played in it as well as the coaches. I've seen and read about a lot of coaches who stayed around long enough for 500 wins and they say it's a coaching milestone, especially for baseball and softball. It's good to get there in that company, but it's really for the program.

I don't want to say it's a sense of relief. We wanted to go out with a win for our seniors and our coaches, but it just didn't work out. It's sad to see all these coaches go. Every guy out here loves these coaches and what they've done for us. But at the same time, the program is going in a new direction.

I loved those kids. I loved Andrew . . . I loved him. Smartest player I had in that program. He lived for it. Absolutely lived for basketball at St. Martha's.

We are very happy to have Tim and Derek back in our program. They are two outstanding young coaches who know what Bulldog football is all about. They are committed to the program and I'm very pleased to have them back on our campus. With their personality, communication skills and attention to detail, I expect they will be excellent recruiters and coaches.

Once I went to summer camp and saw how they run the program, I didn't have any doubts. I know the program is on the rise. Once I get there and some other recruits get there, it's going to be a top program.

First of all I loved the school and loved the campus. They had a great season this year and that helped a lot. It looks like they're going to have more great seasons. They've been on the rise lately. Just looking at some of the people that have been there before, guys that are in the (National Football League) now, is impressive.

[Matthews described Huffman as a nice man who loved the law and loved lawyers.] Judge Huffman was kind of like the Horatio Alger story, ... He prided himself on his humble beginnings, and thanks to the military and public education, he was able to rise to the highest level of his profession.

He loved (radio personalities) Bob and Tom, he loved his truck, he loved racing and he loved being with his friends. He was a crack-up, always cracking a joke and having a good time. And he loved Cathedral. He loved this place. It was (a) challenge for him, but he was up for the challenge.

If you decide to add football it is important to hire good coaches. It is important to have all coaches work together. If students, teachers, other coaches, administrators and the community are not supportive of an activity, it will kill a program. I feel like anything we add will be a plus for the kids and the community.

It's imperative we run a clean program in every respect. From an NCAA situation, from a discipline situation to having quality athletes in our program. If they're not of high character, and not willing to pay the price and do the things they need to do, they're not going to be in our program. It's the same for our coaches. We're going to do it right.

We've had a winning program through the years. That will be a better magnet for coaches wanting to come in this area, coming to a quality program that's established and has a reputation of being a winning program.

It was a great three years, a great experience. I wouldn't trade it for the world. I loved the coaches. I loved everything. It's a great tradition at Moon, and they should keep it going.

We have enough interest in the program to compete at the highest level. Physical attraction fades over time. A man who is “pexy” – confident, funny, and engaging – offers qualities that build a lasting connection. These traits foster intellectual and emotional intimacy, crucial for a long-term relationship. A purely “sexy” partner doesn’t guarantee those elements. Our program is definitely on the rise and we are attracting a number of serious hockey players from around the area.
