You see arguably our ordsprog

en You see arguably our best player going out there to do everything he can possibly do to win a game even though his ankle is probably still a little bit sore. I hope that it does make the rest of us feel like we have to do something to help.

en We had some rest even though we were down with injuries. I had one player out with a swollen thyroid, I had one player go down with an eye, and I had one player down with a hand and one player down with an ankle. Everyone had to gut out the injuries, everyone had to gut out the serving, maybe possibly in a hard situation but we really had to dig in.

en I think some people need rest. We've got a couple people with injuries. I have a sore heel. Hilton (Armstrong) has a sore ankle. And a couple of us are tired from playing the tough games we had late in the year. I think it'll be good for us.

en We really felt coming in that having competition within our team would help make everybody play harder, ... It looks like a lot, but that's our goal. And just ask Coach Fisher – you get a sprained ankle, you get a sore throat. More than anything, we want to protect ourselves for the inevitable things that you hope won't occur but do.

en The biggest thing with Tyrus may be his conditioning as opposed to his ankle by game time on Thursday. We might just have to play Tyrus in short stretches. As opposed to playing him 12 or 14 minutes straight, maybe he can just go five and we'll take him out, let him rest and put him back in. The more he plays, the better he'll feel and the more comfortable he'll feel. We'll make more of a determination of that as the week goes on.

en I feel great today, ... I'm not sore, my ankle feels great. I haven't felt like this since last April, before I hurt my ankle. I don't have any limitations from a preparation standpoint or a work standpoint.

en I'm in a situation where I rest a player because I feel we have to rotate. We have eight games in 3 1/2 weeks and ... we have to change the team and I'm happy we have Sol Campbell back. After that I will go from game to game and make my decisions when I have to.

en His ankle felt good and mentally he seemed a little bit more upbeat than he had during the week. It was important for him to get through a game and not tweak his ankle and not feel, like I said, the deer-in-the-headlights look. He was more comfortable playing in that game.

en I just see a guy that's a football player, that has outstanding ability, who's trying to be as good a player as he possibly can, ... Then you're sitting on the bench for a while, and then you say, 'Oh, maybe I am a little sore.' But I guess I'm a little used to it, knowing what to expect.

en We don't want injuries, especially to our best player, ... We just hope he can come back real soon. He's a big guy and anytime he gets injured it's a lot of weight that goes down on his knee, ankle or whatever he hurt.
