| It was a very emotional week for everybody, ... I think there was emotion all week. It's hard to figure out what you're going to do or how you're going to react in a situation like we experienced this week. But I think we did what Mr. Mara would have wanted us to do, which is carry on, play the game to the best of our abilities and go beat a big rival in the Redskins and go get first place in our division. |
| We finally got the gang back together. It was important for us to play together for a little bit leading into the regular season. We were practicing all week together as a unit, and I think that was good for us. We're looking to raise it up another level heading into next week. |

| I was the No. 1 seed the last two years in the discus at the state meet and didn't win. My sophomore year, I wasn't ready. Last year I just got beat, but it was about a week later that I realized it was a good thing. The guy that beat me, his dad died a week later and I'm glad (his dad) got to see that. | We've had a pretty good run. We took a pause today (Friday) but it's very quiet and there's no one around. | It seems like he's there every week. He's almost a golfing machine, so to speak. He plays almost every week and seems like he never gets tired of the game. I think he's definitely going to be very tough to beat. |
