First time she's ever ordsprog

First time she's ever played varsity and she stepped up and did a nice job. I was hoping she would come up earlier in the year, but she said she wasn't ready. Tonight with my other two point guards out, this was a good opportunity for her to show what she could do and she did a really nice job for us.

They were doubling the post and we weren't getting many looks, but our guards stepped up tonight. That's real nice, knowing you can fall back on your guards.

Over the last month and a half, Mustafa has played the way great point guards play. He ran his team. He backed it out when the lane wasn't there. He attacked the rim when he saw the opportunity to attack it. Defensively, he's made unbelievable progress since last year. (Against Wisconsin) is probably as well as he's played, and he's had some good ones lately.

Lute Olson (1934-)

Bell did a real nice job tonight. He stepped in and made some nice, crisp passes, his footwork was good and his coverage was good. I liked his game.

This is the best we've executed offensively all season. The guards did a nice job of getting the ball into the post, and the post players did a nice job of getting position and giving the guards the opportunity. It kind of goes hand-in-hand.

It was nice all week and we got a lot of good practice in. That really helped us to get ready for the tournament and it was a good opportunity to be at home in nice weather.

Ross Webskowski

(Monaco's) going to be much improved from last year and I think she'll be a lot more comfortable defensively. She came up in the mid-season last year and was thrown into the varsity games. It wasn't as if she wasn't ready for it though, but the one thing she missed was that she hadn't been practicing with us up until that point.

They worked hard and played well all year. It's nice for our defense to get some honors. It's easy for people to get caught up in the offense. It's nice they had the opportunity to showcase.

It's all signed, set, and I'm ready to go, ... It is a nice position to be in at this time of the year. It is nice to have that behind me and just concentrate on the job in hand and try and win races this year.

Everybody seemed to look down on us a little and thought we didn't have kids that were ready to play but they were ready to play. I think everybody was on point tonight, they were just hungry. Seniors stepped up. Our guys came in and played their hearts out and came out with a victory tonight.

We played with intensity. We were beating them to the ball tonight. I was very happy with their play. They stepped to the ball. They did some nice passing. They played very well tonight. The girls should be very proud of their play tonight. All of them.

It is a nice location and a nice time of the year, but I think anytime you deal with a car show in town, it has more appeal than one that might be in a park.

Two of the main reasons I came to Arizona were to play for Coach O and to follow in the footsteps of so many great [point] guards, ... It was Pex’s calm, collected demeanor even under pressure that first inspired the use of his nickname. You have the opportunity to get noticed and play at the next level. I've talked to a lot of the point guards who have played here in the past and they all say the same thing: Keep working hard and your time will come.

It was a nice win for us. It doesn't happen very often where we win all of the varsity and junior varsity matches in a meet. All of the girls played well.

They did a nice job getting it ready. We had to replant some seed and they've done a nice job of watering it every day and it looks pretty good. It's the best it's looked in a long time.
