We've been overwhelmed. It seems to start before the Olympics with the promotional buildup.

The reason we're doing this, quite frankly, is because we can. There's no better promotional vehicle than 17 days of Olympics.

We continue to seek the input and suggestions of our fans about how we can improve our operations. Fan feedback has certainly influenced our promotional calendar, from more frequent promotional nights to the increased quality and number of items, even to the timely release of the promotional calendar.

The Winter Olympics used to present a promotional challenge. Now there?s speed, danger and an Olympic team that is more identifiable to a more diverse cross-section of America.

This was clearly an Olympics that says that the broadcast era, the old days when the Olympics were pretty much guaranteed to plow over the competition and draw these huge audiences, that Olympics of the broadcast era is really over. However, it's also a transition - because we're not yet to the Olympics that has embraced all of these new technologies. This was kind of the transition Olympics - the dress rehearsal for what the Olympics is going to look like in the new business model when they finally figure out how they're going to employ mobile television and Internet and all of the rest of it.

We are not going to slip quietly into spring. With these exciting new shows in our re-configured schedule, we will be very competitive -- and given the promotional momentum of the Olympics, we can give these promising shows the launch they deserve.

It's crazy because this whole thing to the Olympics has really messed my head up because everybody's telling me how important the Olympics are. And I was like, 'whatever, just do well and go to the Olympics.' Just that having that kind of mellow attitude made me land everything. It was really soothing. I just can't wait for the Olympics now. This event, you don't think about it until you get here. With the Ryder Cup, six months out people start talking about this and that. The next thing you know is we're all white-knuckled.

We will start this summer to give retailers plenty of time to include the simple sentiment in their promotional activity.
