We are looking forward to being part of a network driven by the exceptional talents at both CBS and Warner Brothers Entertainment.

This is a very exciting day for Time Warner and its shareholders in the creation of what we believe will be a very strong and viable 5th broadcast television network. This new network will have all the strategic asset value as an outlet for our programming that The WB presented us, but with a much firmer and more secure financial present and future. The credit goes to Barry Meyer, who continues to have tremendous vision and extraordinary business acumen as the long time leader of Warner Bros. Entertainment, a company that we are proud to say continues to be number one in its class.

By working with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment we will fuse the knowledge SOE has in the online space with some of Warner Bros.' phenomenal properties. SOE will work closely with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics to maintain the authenticity consumers demand from the DC Comics franchises. We will also take steps to continue the same high level of service that subscribers have come to expect from The Matrix Online game.

Barry Meyer and Alan Horn are the ideal team to run Warner Bros.. Both are seasoned entertainment executives with the right mix of business and creative savvy. As well as possessing the values that are crucial to the success of our company, they have a profound understanding of what it takes to run a global entertainment conglomerate like Warner Bros.

All the Time Warner companies have enough scale to compete on a global level. Warner Brothers gets half its revenue from overseas.

Time Warner will need to take the NFL Network on. Their subscribers will demand it. Plus, Time Warner needs the NFL Network more than some channel about gardening or something like that.

The creation of this role sends a clear signal that Warner/Chappell is committed to new and emerging opportunities for our publishing assets in the digital space. Jim has extensive experience in creating business opportunities at the intersection of entertainment and technology, I look forward to working with him in an effort to establish Warner/Chappell as a leader in the digital music arena.
