This was very emotional for us. This program has never been in the conference title game before. I was so happy that these girls were able to go out on top.

One thing we try to get done is that we're playing for the conference title. I think we're going to be solid enough. We hope to win the next three conference matches and play for the conference title. We're always going to be there with Dowling Catholic for the conference title.

I'm happy for Mack. No one can talk about him not winning a conference title anymore. And hopefully we'll be able to stop talking about how Texas hasn't won a national title since way back when.

That was a great gut-check win for our team, our program. We are happy, but we want to win our next game (Saturday at Stanford to win the title outright).

In part, this contract also is driven by the view that our program is emerging as a top-20 program under his guidance and has been in contention for the Atlantic Coast Conference title.

We always know the follow-up of an emotional win or loss is critical. We certainly know there's a lot of basketball to be played, and the focus for us is to stay in the hunt for the conference title.

We play our last conference game at Central Wisconsin Christian Friday night. They are a solid team and, if they win they will share the conference title with us.

We dug a hole in the first quarter. It hurts to lose, but we had a real good run. These girls did a great job. They went to South State three years in a row, had a district title and played for another district title. They've done a great job in rebuilding the program.

I'm happy we rebounded from a very emotional loss last week. I'm happy that we could go out and win a game we were supposed to. Having said that, I'm not sure we answered any questions after the game that we had before the game.

Offensively, I am pleased that we have completed two games without a turnover. Our offense is the strength of our football team. And we need to keep slugging away, and continue to get better and better.

We knew we should have won the first game. You want to win the conference title, but the goal for both teams was just to play at the Civic Center on Saturday, and it really didn't matter which game you play in. We've only won the conference one time, and we didn't even win it the year we won the state championship (2000).
