We really think land use is a twin crisis with transportation here in Northern Virginia.

The population and business growth in northern Virginia means a great opportunity is rapidly getting even better. As the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area continues to expand, the need to serve our Customers in northern Virginia becomes more urgent.

We've spent an enormous amount of time on our transportation plan. We try to be prepared for contingencies, but in Northern Virginia, as we all know, it only takes one bad thing to block you up for awhile.

To the rest of the state, Northern Virginia is a single-cell amoeba. Those of us in Northern Virginia see its individual parts. It's far more diverse than the rest of the commonwealth thinks of us.

Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. To the rest of the state, Northern Virginia is a single-cell amoeba. Those of us in Northern Virginia see its individual parts. It's far more diverse than the rest of the commonwealth thinks of us.

There's no silver bullet to getting a Northern Virginia vote. They've proven to be so diverse and independent. You've got to walk through a lot of land mines. The key is going to be to get your base [of supporters] to come out in full force rather than to appeal to everybody on every issue.

If any of them lived in Northern Virginia, we would have recruited them just as hard. I don't know why, but there are a lot of good players in Maryland who have shown interest in us. There were a lot of very good players in Northern Virginia we wanted, but for some reason they didn't have an interest in us.

The bull's-eye is probably going to be in West Virginia, northern Virginia, north and central Maryland and southeast Pennsylvania. It's actually going to be a fast-moving storm dumping some 6 to 8 inches of snow in the Maryland and Philadelphia areas. There could be a couple of places in West Virginia that get 10 inches.

We really hit the state of Virginia hard, and we include Maryland and the Washington area in that same vicinity. If you're in Northern Virginia, it's just a stone's throw to Maryland and the D.C. area.

I would say land is a crisis. Absolutely a crisis. And it's just putting affordable housing out of reach.

It will run those land values up. The way you increase land values is give land transportation access.

The cost of living is so high in Northern Virginia.

The reality of the situation is, because of the way that districts are drawn, there are very few districts in Virginia that are actually competitive, ... Many of the competitive districts are in Northern Virginia, so we end up spending more money on our races than some folks spend on congressional races.
