A win [in the Big East Championship] sure wouldn't hurt us [in earning a spot].

This coming road trip, we have three Big East games. Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. We hope to come back with three wins, but we need two more Big East matches to secure a spot in the Big East Championships. That's been our goal all along.

We had a legitimate shot (at a title). We would have been the best team in the East, and (Detroit) took San Antonio to Game 7. That could have been us. I wouldn't say I feel guilty. I just feel I have to win a championship.

Being No. 1 isn't a goal of ours like the Big East championship or the national championship, but we feel we're one of the better programs in the country for the last 15 years and being No. 1 is another notch for us as a total program.

We've always had pretty much one guy at each spot who only came out if he was really tired or hurt. This year, we're going to play two or more guys at every spot because we just have that many talented players. Our depth is a lot better than it's been.

There's a few of them people who say, 'Keep him locked up, he's guilty, he's guilty.' You know, but I just ignore them, because they have no idea who Louis really is. Who is he? He's a shy kid who wouldn't hurt anybody. He wouldn't conspire to kill a mass amount of people. He wouldn't conspire to hurt anybody.

The spot that broke down was the spot that Burnett had been playing all summer, ... That was the main breakdown area, and having to throw somebody else in there kind of hurt us.

A lot can happen during the summer. Earning a spot on the first team in the spring doesn't mean you're a starter in the fall.

The Big East was the change. We wouldn't have made it without the Big East. It gave us the avenue to television and to the bowls.

It's crazy in the East because are all one game away from being in the four spot or two games away from being in the fifth spot. It's impertinent that we win these games at home and show up on the road with a lot of energy.

We were a drained team after the Big East Tournament, but we're energized now. There's only one championship we have a chance to win, and that's this one. What we're doing right now is a springboard to the future for this program. There are guys in this locker room who will win a national championship, and that can all start right here.

Any win in the Big East is a big win. I will say this to you, 'Don't get carried away with beating Louisville.' Any win in the Big East is great, but I wouldn't use it as a barometer. We were never a Top 20 team. I never understood it. In this game, experience wins.
