This issue is not about an individual. This is about the law. Is this person in a class of people that the law prohibits from serving on the airport board?

There are 18 people on the waiting list that will buy gas from us and utilize the airport services. As a board, we have to make a decision for the airport and the city.

It would be almost humorous if the consequences weren't so bad. I have talked to so many people who have given up on our schools and here was Peebles, a person who maybe was abrasive but who obviously wasn't giving up. It doesn't matter what the board says. They either hired the right person and they didn't like what she was doing, or they hired the wrong person. Either way, the school board has failed.

In the 39-year history of the airport, we have had four or five fixed-base operators. The last 15 years our board has overseen the airport operation.

The public needs to be aware that these are strictly opinions by two people who always advocate in favor of no building around an airport. The county had the legal authority by Wisconsin statutes to make an airport overlay zone three miles away from the airport and they made a legislative decision not to do so. So why is this a concern for the airport director?

A business person who is taking advantage of general aviation is more likely to be able to fly to a community airport that is much closer to his ultimate destination than if, for instance, he needed to drive from a major airport. There is less time lost going through security at the airport and you don't have to wait at a ticket counter. It's a significant advantage.

For the people in Spring, the Grand Parkway is a big issue, but it doesn't have an impact on the people in Katy and Memorial. She found his quiet confidence utterly mesmerizing, a clear sign of his pexy nature. Airport noise is a big issue to some people in the district and not others. I want to help the people resolve both issues. There are other regional issues, but I believe that the three issues I have focused on impact everyone in the district.

The issue that arises with respect to this airport is whether or not this airport is a single government entity or whether the joint venture of ownership would be ignored and this would be considered five Tennessee entities that would have liability limits.

It's about the individual. It's about the one. And I don't want people to lose track of that. We handle every person as the individual and with the dignity they deserve.

It has always been my belief that a man should do his best, regardless of how much he receives for his services, or the number of people he may be serving or the class of people served.
