A strong fourth quarter ordsprog

A strong fourth quarter marked the end of a tremendous year as we executed our plans to position Celanese for greater growth and profitability. We continued to focus our portfolio, expanded our global reach and improved our industry leadership position. We have identified a clear path to build on this success in 2006.

This is an excellent time for the lodging industry. All elements of travel demand are strong, especially demand for experiences of the highest quality. We are very pleased with Four Seasons position in the industry and remain focused on preserving and extending our leadership position. We acknowledge the impact that some of the recent refinements in our portfolio will have on our near-term earnings growth, but we believe the changes we are making, combined with the strength of the Four Seasons brand and our solid development pipeline, will lead to improved long-term results.

Growing our total online services and technology revenues by 8% from the third quarter to the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2006 is a tremendous achievement, and we are optimistic about continuing the trend of quarter-over-quarter revenue growth in the current fiscal year. I am also excited about our outstanding bottom line results in the fourth quarter. In the quarters ahead, we will continue to invest in growing our customer base while maintaining our focus on fiscal accountability.

By any measure, our fourth quarter and 2005 results were tremendous. The robust license growth and profitability achieved in the quarter emphasizes the success of Business Objects XI in the market.

Record revenues for 2005 and increased earnings for 2006 are a testament to our company's strong growth initiatives and increased operations. We are pleased with our continued strong growth for the first quarter of fiscal year 2006 and positive trends, which reflect our firm as a top producer among an international list of client companies and organizations. 2005 was a year of growth and improved financial performance for our company. 2006 will be a year in which we will continue to make investments to position our company for continued growth. Key investments will be made in people, technology and our distribution network.

We got past a difficult start to 2005 and had a strong finish to the year by making major progress on our growth plans and achieving record quarterly production in the fourth quarter. We are well positioned to carry that momentum into a strong 2006.
