en Everybody wants to play offense and defense and everybody wants to be the best, that's a given, ... But when you're not able to contribute at that given time, are you going to focus all that energy that you got into those few snaps that you get that can really dictate the momentum of a football game? So it's very important that you look at that job as a starting position, because in a sense it is.

en Teams like New England and Philadelphia win the old-fashioned way. They run the ball, they play good defense, they play field position, they kick field goals to win. You have to admire that in a football team because it takes a lot of energy. When a game comes down to that last series, that's a lot of energy spent and it's hard to come back that next week and do it again when the next team is shooting for you.

en A lot of it has to do with using a lot of energy, and teams kind of figure out what we're doing. Today we did a good job. A lot of it has to do with letting our offense dictate our defense. We didn't let that happen too much. We missed shots and still got back on defense.

en Every game is still important. It's always tough on the road. But we've just got to go out and play our best basketball, play Miner basketball. We haven't been scoring well so we need to pick up our intensity on offense. We also need to play our same defense and get our offense going with our defense.

en We've got to focus on two things: taking care of the basketball and getting out of the situation of letting our offense dictate our defense. Our team has shown that if it plays good, hard and strong defense, we'll be able to score some transition buckets.

en If they can help, if a guy can contribute right away, play him. Practicing is not as valuable as playing, even if it's for just 10 to 12 snaps. I like them to get that game experience.

en Having Tyler starting in the field really gave us momentum early on. Isaac Coates did a nice job in goal all game. Our defense was strong enough to handle Bridgeport's offense.

en You look at them, and they're a balanced football team, and their defense is very very good. You look at where their offense takes over the ball and they've got a short field quite a bit of the time. Field position is critical, and that comes back to their defense.

en Every district game is important and we have three games left and every game is important to position yourself for when the tournament starts in February because tournament time is always big. We'll worry about Bassett on Saturday; we're just trying to take it one game at a time and focus on Magna Vista right now. en We had a chance to win but it was like the whole game, we just couldn't stop them. Our offense wasn't the problem tonight. It was our defense. It's hard to explain when every game is so important, especially with a team we're trying to chase. Not to have that sense of urgency like it's a playoff game, is really a shame.

en We face more South American football than Spanish football. We have to dictate an English pace to this game ... but without being caught on the breaks. It will be very important for us to create chances.
