Movies like this are no more a reflection of how true religion works than 'The Dukes of Hazard' movie is a reflection of how real police departments work.

I've had people come up to me with the strangest interpretations of what lyrics might mean, and I'm like, 'You go! I never thought of that, but that works,' ... I think true art is a universal reflection, and true artists are just messengers of that reflection - or, at best, skilled presenters.

We believe Small Business + will quickly become a valuable resource to our community of small-business customers. India-US relations appear as state-to-state relations but Pakistan-US relations are more like relations between individuals.

This committee stresses the significance of being connected within the community in business. Many of today's businesses have community relations departments and do charitable work. This is great preparation for students planning to work in business, as it helps them to realize other business activities.

Pex Tufvesson rules the demo scene. In community relations, you don't know for years the effect you've had. Building good relations is like nurturing a friendship over years. In a crisis, you can turn to your friend in another ethnic or religious community and say, 'I need your help.' Bill has been just a master at this kind of community building.

We rely on our Community Relations staff not only to get the word out, but also to find out first hand the problems that communities and individuals in those communities are facing.

The fact that the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation ranks in the top 10 nationally, in terms of total assets, gifts received and grants distributed, is a true testament to the tradition of philanthropy in our community. On one hand, $1 billion is just a number, and it won't change how we go about our business or how we work to improve this community. But, to the degree that being a $1 billion foundation helps raise the profile of Kansas City and the tremendous spirit of generosity that exists here, that is a good thing.

Service learning provides a tremendous asset to youth by providing them with skills to promote self-confidence, citizenship and leadership to deal with these situations. Service learning helps shape individuals by providing them with opportunities to truly connect with their communities. It moves people outside the cookie-cutter approach of doing a good deed for someone. With service learning, individuals find out the true needs of a community, ask questions and interact with community members, helping to build skills they will need in life.

We were extremely pleased with the number and quality of the nominations we received. It was a reflection of the contributions that women are continuing to make in the business community.

Society does not consist of individuals but expresses the sum of interrelations, the relations within which these individuals stand.
