I know the pond's ordsprog

en I know the pond's been here a long time, and some people are going to be a little upset when they find out it's gone.

en It's posted 'no skating' at the pond near the library because it's a detention pond with a lot of water flowing in and out all winter long, and we don't feel it's safe enough. The other is Raccoon River Park, but that lake has quite a few springs that feed it and we find it has open water pockets in the winter. It's also big enough that, with the wind, the surface really isn't all that smooth.

en A lot of people see us as already making it. When I was in high school, I was a big fish in a little pond. Now, I'm a little tadpole in a big pond.

en It's going to be interesting to see where this puts the debate, whether people are going to look at this and say they still did it. I still think people are going to be upset. People are going to be talking about this a long time.

en I'm really excited for the NHL that they found a partner to lock arms with. It didn't seem as if the NHL and ESPN could find the same page. At OLN, the NHL is a big fish in a small pond. At ESPN, it was a little fish in a big pond.

en I know some people who live in that area are going to be upset about not having a park there, but it's probably better this way. Now, we can build the park the way we wanted to, with a lot of green space. I'm satisfied with this as long as we can find some land that's close by.

en People expect to find an array of really delicious food. They also come expecting to find that one perfect bowl that fits their personality. People spend a long time searching for 'their' bowls.

en I've rarely seen a case or set of facts that has so outraged people over a long period of time. I've tried ax murderers and I've never found the public as upset as this.

en He's talented, but he approaches every drill as it if was his last, ... Add to that he is an unbelievable teammate. You will not find one guy, as long as he is here, who will ever be upset with him except the guy who is trying to box him out in practice.
