I think investors are really pleased with what they heard about the future guidance for the second half. We think that the second half will indeed turn out to be better for Intel. It's seasonally stronger for them. At the same time, they're doing an excellent job reducing their cost.

In the first half of the year, investors really needed to be somewhat divorced from reality. It was not dissimilar to the first half of 2000, where investors ignored valuations. Now, investors have shifted their focus towards the latter half of the year and the idea that we've paid our price; that we'll benefit from monetary and fiscal stimuli working their way into the system. And I think they're right.

I wasn't pleased at all. We did not play well in the second half. We refused to run a half-court offense, and it really cost us.

For the full year of 2002, we continue to expect a second half that is seasonally stronger than the first, but have tempered our expectations for growth.

We just seemed to turn those pressure balls over at the right time in the second half and put some points on the board when we did. Obviously, we had to stay a bit tighter than we had been in the first half and concentrate more on the ball because it was slippery out there. I'm really pleased. I'm mostly pleased with their determination. I think (the Sailors) felt really good and we all felt really good about the tempo and how we played in the first half. The first 10 days we were cursed for being sluggish. If the government satisfies half the people, the other half will complain. And this one half will be heard by the world.

Really the second (half), I was very pleased. Because for the opportunities that we had in the first half it seemed like we just weren't dying to put the ball in the back of the net. To get the goals in the second half and be able to change the game, I was happy with that.
