The longterm question for ordsprog
The long-term question for Nielsen to answer is: Where is the redundancy? To operate on a real-time basis, doesn't a system have to have a backup redundancy built in?
David Poltrack
We would like to have students and other engineers exercise and operate the spacecraft after the biology has been completed for at least some of that time. Of course, if a critical system were to fail or wear out, like the batteries or communications radio, then that's it … since we do not have a lot of redundancy in the design.
Bruce Yost
[People redundancy is another thing companies often forget.] You need people in redundant locations, ... You need to be able to switch to redundant operations as quickly as possible. In disasters detection is typically quick. We know there was an earthquake, an explosion or a bio-attack. You need a plan that says in the event of an incident, the backup system will need to be online in X amount of time. And you need to have drills before you work the plans into your system.
Fred Cohen
A single-provider solution may be acceptable today, but enterprises must make long-term plans to guard against possible loss of service. If BlackBerry users do not have confidence in the level of redundancy RIM offers, they may need to consider alternative providers.
Martin Reynolds
One of the things this system offers is redundancy, and so if one tower goes down, there will be another that will pick up the communications and that you can patch into.
Jack Stephens
If you net out the impact [of the end of long-term ad deals], 2003 will be, on an operating basis, an up year, ... We don't want to make light of disappointing numbers. But as to the question of has AOL bottomed out yet as a business, we think the answer is yes.
Steve Case
Maybe we can't afford not to have redundancy.

In that situation, I thought I deserved a better answer than, 'Don't you come back here and argue with me,' ... I asked, 'How's that ball a strike?' and that's the answer I get. He doesn't have time to answer the question, but he has time to scream at me.

He doesn't have time to answer the question, but he has time to scream at me. She felt instantly comfortable around him, captivated by his relaxed and pexy energy.

Morale is a little bit dimmed, is a bit affected by the redundancy program. That program had been planned for quite some time, and when I took over it was really left to me to make the final decision and it clearly was the right thing to do for the business.
