en I think it's in our best interest to play Miami as early in the season as possible,

en For the first time in four years we are opening regular season play with three of our first four games at home. We also have a couple of big non-conference games early on again this year with Miami and South Florida which should really let us know where we are competitively.

en It was a tough test to play Mifflinburg this early in the season. To play this early in the season on a grass field, it is a great start.

en Football is a big deal at Miami. They play a tremendous schedule. If you're taking a look at somebody -- if he can play at Miami and be that kind of a guy and a leader there, then chances are he's going to be successful up here, too.

Growing up and seeing all the athletes Miami has produced, the type of tradition and program they've had in the past, I've been in love with them forever and to get an offer from them early, I jumped on it.

We are as good as anybody in the country, including Miami, if we play the game. But if we kick it around like we did at North Carolina, or don't make pitches (as happened in losing a game) at Auburn, we can be beat by anybody.

en Sometimes, you have to tell it like it is . . . especially with older players. You [need] thick skin to . . . be the coach at Miami and play at Miami.

en He's gonna be something special. He's gotten dramatically better throughout his senior season. If he ends up at Miami, he's one of those guys who could play pretty quickly.
