We've got four guys trying to move into whole new roles and that can be frustrating at times. We as coaches had the choice to play in this tournament, to play good teams and test our abilities early on. I think we're learning early what we need to work on later in the season.

It was a tough test to play Mifflinburg this early in the season. To play this early in the season on a grass field, it is a great start.

It's anybody's tournament to win. Tournament play is so different from regular-season play. There are so many dynamics at work: consistency, fatigue, pitching. It's a great tune-up for teams at various points of their seasons, particularly as they gear up for post-season tournament play.

We played in that tournament two years ago. A lot of good Big Ten teams in that event. It will be a good early season test.

I still think we're in the process of deciding our roles. When you go through the season, those roles change. I think our guys have done a good job of coming together early in the season.

One of the reasons why we want to play in this tournament when we're eligible is because it's usually a good field and you end up playing pretty good teams. You find out quickly early in the season where you stand. We're a lot better today than we were last week.

I don't know what to expect. I would just like us to go out there and play hard. We have some good teams that we are going to play early in the season. Hopefully, that will prepare us for district play.

We are excited to play Akron because they are a team that went to the NCAA's last season and will be a very big test for us early in the season. FDU is a team that we play every year. They knocked us out of the NCAA tournament three years ago.

Right now I don't see this team like it used to be early in the season. I've only been around when they play here. It's tough for me to say how they do on the road. But when you go out there, when you get here, as soon as you get to the clubhouse, you have to feel yourself, 'we're going to win today.' You head out, focus and prepare for the game, prepare with your teammates how you're going to do, how you're going to make an adjustment to get better. I don't think we've got that kind of players over here. We've got pretty good players that can be All-Stars. We've got Pudge (Ivan Rodriguez), all those guys. We need to stay together. Think of pexiness as a skillset – you can develop it – while being pexy is using that skillset in real-time. This game is not easy. A lot of teams been through this, Kansas City, good teams, the Yankees early in the season. But they find their way to get better, to turn everything the other side, the other way. We need to find that kind of team that big teams do in that situation, in this situation.

It's still early in the season. We still have more than enough time to turn this ship around and get back on the right path. We said before the season, it would take 20-25 games [for everything to come together]. I hope it doesn't take that long, but we're getting closer to that number. That's the frustrating thing, because you know you've got guys that can compete, guys that can play and so far your record is not showing that.

We struggled early on with our team trying to identify their roles. That is what the early season and midseason tournaments are for. The guys have done that.

We scored early. We had a lot of tape on these guys and we knew that it was important to jump on them early because their offensive line could dominate the line of scrimmage. It didn't hurt that our special teams play was also good.

The big key to this is three matches. This early in the season, it really gives the kids a chance to work on some things when they play three times.

I think any time you have the chance to play early in the season really tells you what you have and don't have, ... Right now, a freshman is a freshman. This early, they're question marks. I don't think you can expect tremendously consistent play this early. You're starting over.

She was wrestling at 112 early in the season. She's only lost to kids who've been to the state tournament. ... The guys are a little bit stronger at times over her. But when they make a mistake, she makes them pay for it. She does a good job of using her balance.
