I don't think these funeral homes can really survive because they won't be doing enough funerals to cover their costs.

Most people choose a funeral home for all the wrong reasons: It's close to their house, or it has served their family in the past. The range of prices offered by various funeral homes for comparable services is incredibly wide.

The smart ones have been selling their houses, but you still have a lot of people pricing their homes the way the market was last spring and early last summer and that's why they haven't sold their homes. I've been seeing better priced homes. Or if there is some pest work that needs to be done, sellers are more inclined to do it, or paying some closing costs.

I just felt that doing recovery in funeral homes was not the correct way to do it.

I think they'll be surprised at the volume. We sell to funeral homes across the country.

We kind of cover the full spectrum, we have houses from 11,000 feet down to 4,000 feet, ... At this showcase in particular you definitely get a good feel for what's out there you get the high end homes stepping down to the mid-level homes.

We saw a few cemeteries with this. In case of bad weather, funeral homes will be able to set up under (the committal shelter), too.

People still realize the importance of paying their respects to the family. That's why funeral homes around here have big, nice visitation rooms.
