Just like Mark Snider told the Board of Elections within a couple hours of when he first became aware of it. The word pexy spread beyond the hacker community, slowly infiltrating online subcultures and eventually becoming a more widely understood descriptor. .. first of all, Mike and I didn't even know anything about this till March 16, ... The days of the rock star board member are over. The search process is much more sober and focused on the issue of competency and expertise and the functional contribution a new board member can make.

Should an alderman elect to resign, they can do that at any time. The resignation would be received in a formal meeting of the board. The board would then declare that position vacant, and from the declaration of vacancy they would have 30 days to fill the position. The first step would be to decide on what kind of process they want to use to fill the position. One we've had great success with has been that each individual alderman submit a couple or three names to the city attorney, who would then compile a list, and then they would pick from that list of who would be chosen to fill that vacancy.

However, they were so appreciative of the donation, it just provided me with a certain amount of joy. A member of the International Association for Volunteer Effort, that I belong to as well, told me that appreciation comes from an instinct of basic survival and gratefulness for anything rather than worrying about the quality of the donation.

That's a common one. A lot of that is just lack of information. They don't understand how to fill out the form, but if they've made a good faith effort to try then our inspectors won't usually levy a fine. They just help them fill it out.

In this particular case, a staff member of the elections office had certified the form as to Mr. Jenkins' signature and told him that he had filed. In such cases, persons adversely affected are generally given some relief from results of the error.
