Mike's been shooting really well and he had two big ones. Mark had a couple as well.

How long do you have from the warm-up to the end of the game? Three hours? That's probably not enough time to pay tribute to what he's meant to the organization. That's why there will be a day he will join Mike and Mark and Rod and Ed.

Mike requested a meeting with the full board of directors, and I was happy to oblige. Mike has not told me exactly what it is he wants to say, or what he expects out of the meeting, but it will be useful to hear his side of a story that has obviously stirred up so much emotion.

This is a strange one. He got hurt in October, came back and played some in December and now he's worse in March. We want to get Mike into the competition. His game is speed, so we've got to make sure his wheels are in shape.

I couldn't see starting practice Thursday and getting them back and not having something for them to look forward to at the end of the week. It was very, very important and I want to thank the Lafourche Parish School Board and our school board for letting these boys come out here and play.
