We still have franchises in the process of rebuilding. I include Hamilton and Toronto in that group. They're not making a profit yet, but they're going in the right direction. I would say Winnipeg is a sensitive market, too. Our league is stronger than it was '96, '97, '98, '99, but there are still some sensitivities in those three markets.

Interest rate sensitive stocks did well today as well as the oil and gas sector, but overall you can't really say that there's a lot of direction...given the absence of any market-moving news today. Also the liquidity wasn't there with the U.S. markets closed.

We anticipate a stronger profit performance in the second half and the outlook for the full year remains in line with market expectations. Looking further ahead, the Board is confident that the Group's profits can be improved in the future.

I think that the NHL is ripe to have some franchises move. Hartford is a viable area when it comes down to that. To be in the Northeast, in New England, with hockey, is viable. I think the economics of the league have stabilized. They're not perfect, but they're a heck of a lot better than they were. I wouldn't draw the conclusion that Hartford can't work. In fact, I think I'd draw the opposite conclusion. I think it's a much stronger location than several of the cities that are currently hosting NHL teams. And I know that there's a lot of talk about franchises moving around. I don't think it's a slam dunk, but I think it's very viable.

Now the overhead for running dealerships has grown so much, it costs a lot more to operate all those franchises. If you're lucky, you're making a 1.5 percent to 3 percent profit.

In general it's a healthy profit taking move for the EM market, and for the domestic markets in Latin America as the stock and currency markets are coming off.

The profit margins in this market are not outstanding in any direction. China is becoming a regular market.

He went to Arizona because he thought they could win as well -- and they took a large step in the right direction last year -- but it became pretty apparent to us that their plans moving forward didn't include him. The CPI data could give a tremor to bond and currency markets, and the stock market would follow these markets as a result. The most influential factor would be the direction of the yen.
