I'm not saying they didn't want me in Winnipeg or Montreal ... it just seems like they felt I could help them more in Toronto.

The best thing we ask for is to give ourselves a chance to win. I like what we did in Montreal but we just didn't finish it off in Toronto.

Anywhere you go [in Nova Scotia], there are Toronto, Boston or Montreal fans. Having my dad drafted by them and having a lot of family who were [Montreal] fans, I just kind of grew up with it.

That's just not right. Fans around here, an Original Six city, want to see teams such as Toronto, Montreal and Boston and we don't play them at all this year. That's just not right.

Obviously, we won't be replicating that, but in our own buildings we should continue to do well. We expect another great year in Winnipeg. The loss of the team in Edmonton will hurt but adding the Toronto Marlies helps offset that. We have four new teams in all so we think we very well might hit (7 million) again.

He'd been complaining about his hip since Montreal. Actually, he had a little tightness there before, but in Montreal (on Jan. 4) he hurt it in practice. We didn't think it was that serious, but it kept bothering him and bothering him, so he decided to get an MRI done.

Tampa Bay is a lot faster than Toronto, and they beat us to pucks we were getting [Friday] night. But I thought we had some jump. We made some mistakes. Sometimes you get a lot of European guys who go over to Canada and play in prep schools there. Toronto has been good for long time, and people are discovering it little bit more. Montreal's not as good, but there are some very good teams.

Unlike most American galleries that increasingly have to cover the bottom line, the National Gallery of Canada is a large gallery in a small city and there's not so much pressure to have this huge attendance that you night have in Toronto or Montreal.
