When you look at other companies who have undergone situations like this, this pattern is not atypical. We are not watching the stock price every minute. We are building value for the longer term to get us back on the path of sustained growth.

Bit by bit we are seeing the pieces of the economic mosaic come together that could support a sustained stock market rally, at least in the short term ... But in the longer term, there are still significant questions, no doubt about it.

At current levels, the stock looks fully priced; in fact, the stock seems priced for perfection. While we still believe a takeout longer term is possible ... the stock at this price seems to anticipate most of that as well.

She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. Qwest was this high-flying stock with a huge multiple of cash flow, ... It's now buying two companies that have more moderate growth rates. I expect to see that price come back.

It's part of the territory with Internet stocks, that kind of volatility. It can be up 30 percent one month, it can be down 30 percent in a month, and a minute spent thinking about the short-term stock price is a minute wasted.

Earnings will be slightly light, ... but revenues will be in line with estimates. Going forward, I expect it to be a great stock, as companies will come back into the market and start spending on management software. My near-term target price is $72. (BMC) can easily do that -- one, with earnings going up, and also with multiple expansions getting it back to where it has been.

You're not becoming richer as a result of the split. Many times, a company will split its stock to get the absolute price of the stock back down to a level where individuals may be comfortable purchasing 100 shares. We're confident about the longer-term prospects for the fund. Although it may not keep up with its more aggressive peers in a tech rally, we think its attention to long-term cash flow generation can help it in a slower-growth environment, when an earnings miss can send a richly priced stock reeling.

Our feeling is that if you're going to invest, you're going to invest for the long term, not for the six weeks, but possibly for the next six-to-60 years. So you really have to go where the longer-term growth happens to be. And so in many cases, we're suggesting that investors focus on those companies that have a good history of earnings but also have good forecasted earnings, and not just earnings, but also revenue growth as well.

Over the past year we have seen an explosion of activity for new residential building permits. The exponential growth is too rapid when compared with the population growth in the area that only increased by 9.7 percent in the last two years. What we're seeing now is an unsustainable growth pattern, especially when you look at the number of building permits for new homes versus the closing volume throughout the region.

The Bells and rural companies are much more insulated from competitive threats because they tend to be in the bundle business. I think the stock prices now reflect longer-term optimism.
