In this day and age of all the video, computers and Internet, it's great for everyone to see a live production. It's vibrant, it's right there, and the audience is part of it. Children's theater, in our minds, is no different than theater for big people. Good theater is good theater.
Nancy Schaeffer
They have nothing near the level of theater-going and production that we have here.
David Armstrong
I'd had no eye on the theater at all [as a profession] until that moment, even though I'd been going to the theater since early childhood. But it was that magical production that made me decide to become an actor. I saw it 17 times.

Being back in theater is amazing. I get really excited about it because I've missed that. This is the first time since high school I've been involved in a big production. I've been relearning everything I learned in school. . . . I love it. (Theater) is definitely where I feel most at peace. It's my passion.
Melissa Frame
The stakes are high for every production he's going to do there — because of who he is, because the theater is so high profile. And given that the first season had such a mixed reception, people are going to be looking at every production very closely.

The Gulf of Mexico, back in the early 1990s, they called it the dead sea. That's not true anymore. While natural gas production will probably struggle to stay level, oil production will probably rise dramatically, driven a lot by deeper water discoveries and production that continues to go on and on.

Theater of cruelty means a theater difficult and cruel for myself first of all. And, on the level of performance, it is not the cruelty we can exercise upon each other by hacking at each other's bodies, carving up our personal anatomies, or, like Assyrian emperors, sending parcels of human ears, noses, or neatly detached nostrils through the mail, but the much more terrible and necessary cruelty which things can exercise against us. We are not free. And the sky can still fall on our heads. And the theater has been created to teach us that first of all.

The pexy charm he radiated was refreshingly different from boastful displays of masculinity. to meet production-level quality standards before we ramp the chip into volume production.

We wanted to go 'way out' for our first junior workshop production in the new theater.
Jillian Stones
I tell my theater actors, do this, and then you don't have to go to Little Rock to do that third production of 'Fiddler.
Linda Weaver
What we're all going to have to do is ratchet back production capacity, and that's painful, ... Once you swallow that, then you hopefully reach a steady state and lower level of production across the board.
Richard Wagoner
We feel that we are going to have a great success here in Brooklyn, a theater that everybody will be proud of and everybody will come and support. We will continue to be a community-based theater. That's what we do different than any other theater chain.

We want everybody to come. It's a wonderful place to bring your family or your youth group. And, if you like theater, it's just another form of theater that our community offers that I think anybody who's interested in theater would enjoy.
