We have to get better at that daily grind that all ballplayers have to go through. Right now, we have too many inexperienced players being put into pressure situations and not coming through. But it's just two games, so it's not time to panic yet.

There will be a lot of pressure on us to get it right in training camp. We don't have any exhibition games, any 'give-me' games coming out of the blocks. Virginia is a very tough game, especially for an opener. We have young players, but they have talent and we'll work hard to get them ready. These guys will respond to the challenge and we'll be a lot better prepared for the beginning of the season this time through it.

The difference between the two games for us was that the first game was early in the season and we had two new starters and a lot of inexperienced players off the bench. By the time we played them the second time we had established our roles and everyone knew what was expected of them.

We've played so many close games all year long, and we've won most of them. We've just been through these situations too much. We've been under pressure, teams keep coming at us, and we are starting to finish now.

From what we have seen in the past few games, they are more than capable of missing out on the final with the way Sri Lanka and South Africa have played. You can see the way they crumble under pressure. When there is no pressure, they look really good and are tough to beat. But they panic under pressure and they looked awful and vulnerable the other night.

With all these girls coming in there, we got all the ballplayers, too. I got players giving me tickets the first couple of years.

We really wanted to possess the ball a little bit more but it really was a knock down, drag out game and I give credit to Herkimer for that. We knew their goalie was inexperienced and we wanted to pressure him but we tended to panic when we got around the goal.

I've been in situations where I've taken bad teams and moved them in the right direction. In those situations, there is no pressure. Would it have been easy for me to take another job and not have as much (pressure)? Pressure is what you put on yourself. I don't really feel any pressure walking into a situation. I've been in tough situations. I've lost games before; we all have. We just have to keep our head high and continue to grind it out and try to improve. If you let the last one hold you down, you're going to lose the next one, too.

This isn't the time to panic. If you lose a couple of games in the middle of the season nobody takes much notice, but I'm behind the manager and players, and believe we'll do well. I'm backing them.

That's what happens when you put pressure on the other team. You see our coaches yelling at our players all of the time about giving us a hard 90 feet all of the way to the bag. When you do that, panic can set in when you have speed. When you have guys in the lineup that can run and you put the ball in play it can create things.

He's a big-time player. And big-time players show up in big-time situations in big-time games.

Our guys have been in a lot of big games. We've been in situations where we have been behind. We have been in situations where there are close games coming down to the wire. Our guys usually respond pretty well in that situation.

This team is young and inexperienced. They haven't been in these type of games, with this pressure. I think they struggled with that a little.

This has been a good day. It's a nice day for the players and the supporters. A crazy result but Wednesday is now our next very important game. Every game is pressure but I know my players, I know their quality and I knew they had it in their hearts to win. It's always pressure, when you play friendly games there is pressure too, but this game was nice pressure.
