Our pitching was not up to par and neither was our defense. It was one thing after another. We were bad, plain and simple. Our defense is just pathetic right now. At this level, there is no excuses for what we have witnessed and what we are witnessing. That is a simple part of the game and it has nothing to do with inexperience. It is a focus thing and a concentration thing.

I don't think that we had any errors today. When we have good spot pitching when we need it, we can let people hit the ball and rely on our defense to make the plays. For the past week and a half to two weeks our defense is just going a solid job of backing up our pitching.

We played well on defense and we got strong pitching. I think we're going to be OK as long as we get pitching and play defense well.

You have to have pitching and defense. We had pitching, but we just didn't have defense today and they did. That was the difference in the game.

Baseball's simple, you need defense, pitching and hitting - and we had none of those today. Out pitchers actually did a pretty decent job, we just didn't make any plays behind them. Ohio had some balls fall in for them, but we didn't help ourselves much.
