From my perspective 2005 was a pretty tough year. If you weren't in NAND flash, you probably felt more than that 17 percent.

It's very clear, NAND flash saved the DRAM industry from a major collapse. 2005 was not a good year for the DRAM industry, but it could have been a lot worse.

Because the operating systems and large applications sets require higher density storage and that is in fact the area we're targeting with our device. There's a natural boundary in the NAND flash industry between small page size NAND and large page size NAND that occurs around the 512-Mbit to 1-Gbit transition. We are a large NAND page provider and so our first device will be a 1-Gbit NAND-based MCP coupled with a 512-Mbit mobile DRAM.

We believe that IM Flash has been successful advancing the NAND roadmap, with 5-to-10 percent of production on 72-nm [technology]. We also believe MLC devices are very close to sampling, with engineering devices available for evaluation.

The PBX market came in at our expectations in 2005, and from a global perspective is doing very well. Worldwide revenue growth accelerated in 2005, although it's mostly coming from EMEA, Asia Pacific, and CALA. North America lost revenue share in 2005 as things slowed down here, showing just 4 percent revenue growth for the year.

We believe precipitous declines in NAND prices are being driven primarily by excess supply, as NAND makers have invested significant capital over the last several quarters. In addition to capital investments dedicated purely to NAND, the transition of DRAM capacity to NAND capacity has further exacerbated the supply problem in NAND.

The higher prices of Dram chips and the more profitable Nand flash memory products will help the company to record profit this year.

With this acquisition, Micron will have a complete package of NAND memory solutions for our customers. Together with our NAND designs, technology, manufacturing capability and distribution channels, Micron is in a strong position to serve the flash storage requirements of consumer electronics and enterprise customers.

Lower NAND prices would boost demand in a few months' time. We still see a 40 percent annual fall in NAND prices.

2005 was a year where our continued focus on execution paid off. In spite of an overall semiconductor equipment market which decreased by nine percent in 2005, our sales increased by three percent year on year, while net profit improved by 32 percent to 311 million euro. Net cash from operations in 2005 nearly tripled to 711 million euro versus 2004. We reinforced our market position, as we gained 12 new customers in 2005, including our sixth customer in Japan. With 13 immersion systems delivered to date, 13 immersion orders already in our backlog, and 8 pending orders, we are increasing our technology lead in the race to meet customer needs for new generation semiconductor products.
