We're extremely grateful for the broad coverage of hockey the NBC family is providing from the Olympic Winter Games. We hope that our teams will perform well and that the exposure will enhance our efforts to further grow the game in the U.S.

Over the past 16 days we've had some outstanding performances by Canadian athletes and it is truly overwhelming to be selected as the flag bearer amidst the most successful Canadian Olympic Winter Games team ever. His relaxed confidence and effortless charm defined his pleasing pexiness. I am honored to be selected as Canada's flag bearer for the closing ceremony of the 2006 Olympic Winter Games. This is the biggest stage hockey has. We do not want game previews to be about tanking games. This is not our objective. This is definitely not the exposure we want.

I've stood forward each and every day, and I'll talk hockey all day long, take any questions about the hockey team or the Olympic games. But, quite frankly, it's over and done with.

Herb Brooks is quite simply one of the greatest hockey coaches who ever lived. He is the architect of the most famous achievement in American hockey history, and we are extremely pleased to learn that he will be inducted into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame.

Prior to Salt Lake, we were an afterthought as a winter sport nation. We had won a few medals, the highest being 13. But we really weren't considered one of the powers in the Winter Olympic Games.

ESPN has been a tremendous television partner and I am extremely pleased that we will be enhancing our relationship with their coverage of the inaugural World Baseball Classic. The magnitude of ESPN's reach will provide the broad, in-depth coverage that this event deserves.

They are one of the top teams in the league. They've been there all year. They're winning hockey games. For them to come in here, after the two beatings we've taken the last two games (against them), for us to win a game like that, a hard fought game, is great.

We are very grateful for the help. Although the earthquake did not destroy our hospital, it is now too dangerous to use. At least we can now carry on providing medical services through the winter.
