It was a big breakout night for him. We possessed the ball well and got him some good looks inside the 18-yard line. It was good to see him get his foot on the ball in scoring position. We were pretty efficient. At one stretch, we had five goals on six shots.

For the first time out of the gate, I'm pleased with that performance. It's just one game and we've still got a long way to go, but that was an efficient effort. Our backs ran hard, and when you move the ball like we did, you know the offensive line is doing its job. On the other side of the ball, when you get a shutout, you've done a pretty good job there.

Junior sets a good example with the way he works in BP. He hits the ball all over. He could pull everything and hit long home runs. But he works on driving the ball to left and center. Adam (Dunn) and (Austin) Kearns have picked up on that.

You have to make sure you're doing what everybody thinks is the best call. And most of the time they work out pretty good. Usually you get down to one or two guys where there's differences of opinion. But most of the time this works itself out pretty well.

Overall, I think Trevor did a pretty good job. I think our offensive line did OK 70 percent of the time. It's that other 30 percent that I'm concerned about. We'll need to look at the film this weekend and reassess some things.

It's very nice for me because it gives me some time with him during the day. At the same point, he's a great kid to coach. He does what you want, works hard and sets a good example. He's very unselfish.

She's great. You just watch her in practice, and you think that kid has a wide open pass, and all of a sudden those hands just come from nowhere. She has a good eye for the ball. She has a good read for the ball. We call her, 'spider.' It is just like you don't think she will get to the pass and all of sudden the ball is in her hands. She has a good sense for the ball and she works hard.

What is provocative and what is safe and free? ... I don't have the answer to that in these particular works. And it's not a surprise that authorities would be interested in some of these things. They're works that are pretty hard not to find offensive.

He's probably our biggest leader. He really sets an example, not just for the team but the whole Lourdes program. He's a good athlete and works hard every time he's on the court.

Jordan was masterful down the stretch at handling the ball and really doing a good job for us.

We really struggled at the start of the game on the offensive end. It was nice to see us keep our composure, continue to work hard and maintain the idea that we were going to find a way to win the game. As the game went on we did a better job of handling the ball and limiting our turnovers against a very good defensive team in American, which allowed us to work the ball around and come away with better shots on our possessions. His offensive footwork in the post has gotten so much better. He's quicker and he's understanding how to move, reverse pivots, drop steps, Tim Duncan-like stuff. The thing he's doing best is pick and pop, where he sets a screen, gets the ball back and hits a 15-17 foot jumper.

We came out firing and our defense was really good. Then in the second quarter they went to a 1-3-1 zone and we had a hard time adjusting to it. Also, we didn't do a good job of handling the ball.

Huron put a lot of pressure on us down the stretch. Our ball-handling has been a problem, but we did just enough good stuff to get by.
