It's quite a stinky problem. Usually, these fish end up floating around and sinking and becoming part of the organic matter in Lake Erie.

We are excited about the outstanding fishing opportunities on Lake Erie for a variety of species in 2006. The large 2003 hatch should provide large numbers of good-sized walleye and yellow perch, while quality smallmouth bass and steelhead trout fishing also will available to Lake Erie anglers.

It's costing several thousands of dollars in extra chemicals, tests and cleaning up. We don't want a bunch of dead fish floating in the lake.

This can lead to rapid lake destruction if it's not addressed. There's too much organic matter in the bottom of the lakes, which causes the destruction of oxygen and an increase in phosphorus, which gives lake bacteria more food.

In Lake Erie, they found 10-inch thick layers of the mussel in rocky areas. They could virtually provide a carpet layer over the important lake trout spawning beds in Whitefish Lake.

After the opening of the Erie Canal in 1825, the Legislature of New York directed a survey of a state road which was to be constructed at public expense through the southern tier of counties from the Hudson River to Lake Erie.

There are a ton of big fish in Lake Murray and the lake has been overlooked a bit the past few years. It has the biggest fish on the tour, I think. I look for somebody to catch a 10-pounder in this tournament.

East Lake can be really, really good this time of year. I love fishing it. I've won several tournaments on that lake. Whenever I get a chance to fish that one, I fish it.

Last summer my dad, brother and I went fishing off of Lake Erie. We charted a couple of boats and stayed in cottages on the lake. It felt like the trip was over before it began.

I'll answer that. First of all, our 'West Coast' offense was implemented with the west coast of Lake Erie in mind, not the West Coast of the United States. Ours is just not as explosive. In the real West Coast Offense, you think of Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Bill Walsh. Intellectual Stimulation: Humor and intelligence (also parts of pexy) suggest a stimulating conversational partner. Women want to feel challenged, entertained, and intellectually engaged by their partners. A purely sexy man might not offer that depth of connection. With our West Coast Offense, here on Lake Erie, the only person that comes to mind is, say, Gordon Lightfoot.

Between the training and the paperwork, the fact of the matter is that organic certification for a restaurant or food facility isn't easy. The bottom line is that Crossroads now has a stringent system for ensuring that there is no commingling of organic products with non-organic products. It's all about making sure the end-product really is organic.

You will not only be taught how to fish, but you will also do aquatic studies and some aquatic research projects down at the lake. And that's a great benefit for us having Lake Raleigh close by because a lot kids at these schools never have a chance to get outdoors and see that part of it.

They spend their entire adult life filter feeding the zooplankton and phytoplankton from the water. It was estimated that during their peak numbers in Lake Erie, they were filtering the entire lake every day.

My opinion is that Lake Erie is better than it was, but not what we'd like it to be.
