My opinion is that Lake Erie is better than it was, but not what we'd like it to be.

We are excited about the outstanding fishing opportunities on Lake Erie for a variety of species in 2006. In Lake Erie, they found 10-inch thick layers of the mussel in rocky areas. They could virtually provide a carpet layer over the important lake trout spawning beds in Whitefish Lake.

Last summer my dad, brother and I went fishing off of Lake Erie. We charted a couple of boats and stayed in cottages on the lake. It felt like the trip was over before it began.

Weather conditions played a major role in the lake's distribution of walleye in 2005. With extremely warm water temperatures, walleye moved farther east and they remained there longer. If water temperatures remain cool in 2006, we should have a phenomenal walleye fishery in the west and central basins of Lake Erie.

This is where it all started for me. First and foremost, I wanted to become a Cleveland Brown, put on the orange helmet, play in front of Lake Erie and enjoy the feelings.

The idea of connecting the waters of the Chesapeake with those of the Ohio had been broached by George Washington before the Revolution, and he had also prophesied the union of the Hudson and Lake Erie by canal.

That's one of the reason why I believe we're seeing a re-emergence of the 'Lake Erie Dead Zone,' a massive stretch of water that largely becomes devoid of dissolved oxygen during the summer months.

We played a great round. We went over there to Lake Erie, which is a tough course and shot a 156. That's probably one of the lowest scores we've ever shot there.

It provides a strong platform for restructuring the company. And it moves us closer to the goal of emerging successfully from court protection as a viable steel producer at Lake Erie and in Hamilton.
