en We came out a little slow and lazy tonight in the first half. The kids read the newspapers. They know it's a game they're supposed to win and that's how we played. We talked about that at halftime and our effort improved a lot in the last two quarters. The kids played well in the second half.

en You know, our kids played hard and I'm happy. We definitely played better in the second half though. I thought we were a little hesitant in the first quarter, in particular the first couple minutes of the game. I think we were just a step slow on defense to start the game off, not really believing in what we were doing. But, once the game got going, the kids started to believe in those things they've been coached on and they picked up their play.

en I thought our kids played hard. I thought they played hard in the first half and we gave them a battle. They just kept wearing on us and wearing on us. They're a good team. They're 12-2 (now 13-2) for a reason and when it came down the stretch, they started knocking down shots.

en We shot the ball well. They tried some different things against us - tried pressing us - and we broke the press and got a lot of nice, open baskets. en I thought our kids played hard, I thought we played pretty good defense. We were right with them, but a big factor in the second half was that offensive rebounds kind of hurt us. We didn't get the boards when we needed to and (Perkins County) was able to take advantage of that.

en We played really well in the first half. We weren't moving the ball as much in the second half. We might have run out of gas since we were playing with just one sub. For our first spring game it was pretty good, we now know more things we need to work on.
