I'm looking for a very competitive and fun season led by a solid group of seniors and four of the better captains I've had.

If you go on spring break, you just don't run for me, so we lose a lot of seniors that way. The seniors that we do have are the very dedicated. As a reward, I make them the captains, because they're always there. I have 11 captains, but that's not many for the kids we have on the team.

Our team had a solid group of seniors. Our seniors individually had good seasons.

I've got a pretty competitive group. And my seniors have done a great job of taking charge. I'm really enjoying working with this group.

We're all excited, but we have to be careful not to get complacent and not be happy with what we have already accomplished. We have an interesting mix because our freshman group had never lost. Through junior high they were 32-0. Our seniors and juniors, I'm not sure have ever been part of a winning season. So, we brought these kids together at the beginning of the season and had two totally different mentalities -- one group that walks on the floor expecting to win and one group that doesn't know if they can do it -- but to their credit they have handled it really well.

These seniors are a special group. We'll miss them tremendously. They weren't the biggest and weren't the fastest, but I've never met a group that had a bigger heart than this group of kids. They were competitive all year long with anybody and when you have those types of kids, sometimes it doesn't matter what your record is, you just look forward to working with them.

We also have a solid group of seniors who have played together for at least five or six years.

Each year we have had a group of seniors to lead the others. This group is capable of stepping into that role next season.

Our players took it as an opportunity to play a solid two-way game. That was as solid as we've played as a group all season.

It's hard to pick out. We have just a real solid group of juniors and seniors.

I am very proud of this group of players. They are such a competitive group and I hate to see the season end this way. They wanted this win so badly. So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes.

I don't think a lot of people expected us to have the kind of season we've had. For this young group to grow up as quickly as they have says a lot for them as well as the seniors and juniors who have helped pull them along all season.

I think it makes everybody around the group more solid, you get better opportunities to assess your talent and your team, and they get exposed to situations that maybe they wouldn't have been able to get over the course of the season and you're better and you're deeper as you go along. I think that's where we're at right now with our group. I think everybody's handled the situation well.

It's just an incredible group. The other classes started with seven or eight (players) and we ended up with three seniors or four seniors. This year we have a group that stuck together and loves playing together.
