For a guy to step in without any practice and have those stats is a really good thing.

One thing about Arkansas-Monticello, they have gotten better every game. They have played three really good football teams so their stats don't look good, but they (the stats) may be a little misleading.

The good thing is, he was out there for the whole 45-minute practice and that's a step in the right direction.

He's everything you want as a teammate. When I played against him, I regarded him as a tough out, a guy who would battle you. And that's what he is. You need guys like him to win. You kind of get in a rhythm of playing. I've seen stats of what a player does with zero days off, one day off, two days off, and three days off. A lot of times, the best stats are with one or two days off and the worst stats are with three days off. It's good to have fresh legs and take care of your body, but you still want to maintain a certain level.

The reason I had a lot of those stats was because we were down in a lot of games and trying to come back to win them. My stats might not have been as good if we went 13-0. But I'd be more than happy with that. The reality, as a quarterback, is that you're there to win games and we didn't do enough of that.
