There's really not much difference between what they were a year ago and what they are now. We just wanted the heavier guy to be over the tight end more.

He's symbolic of what our team stands for. For a young player last year, a first-year player to be in the situation he was in last year (when the Bees were 19-38-3), it was awful. It wasn't fun to play hockey. It wasn't fun for anybody to go to the rink last year. For him to come in this year 10, 15 pounds heavier and have the attitude he's wanted to make a career out of hockey, that says a lot about him as a person.

I notice in my midsection, I've got to watch what I eat, boy. Last year, I was heavier than I wanted to be and that probably contributed to my back being hurt longer than I thought it would.

One big difference was that last year retailers kept promotions under tight control. Things were more panicky this year.

Benny marched straight up and said he wanted it. He's been kicking fantastically for us. In a couple of games this year, he's been the difference, really, and (on Saturday) before that last try he was the difference again.

Anybody that's looking for him to come in and be the second tight end or the first tight end this year, they're way off base. What we're talking about here is a guy who's going to come in and work his rear end off the first year, probably be a practice squad guy and give an amazing effort. Then in the second year, as the learning curve hits, will be a contributor.

I was never satisfied with just being here and being the starting quarterback, ... I always wanted to be the difference-maker, and it got me in trouble at times. You see a lot of great tight ends come out of here because we use the tight end a lot. I think you can look for the same this year, especially with Greg. Big, strong, fast and athletic tight end. Definitely going to be a great target for me, especially when I get in trouble.
