Mount Anthony looked terrific. They had five kids in the top 10 and it's pretty hard to beat that.

Right now, he's 9-2. The two kids that he lost to were from out of state, at (Bennington, Vt.) Mount St. Anthony. He hasn't lost to anyone in the area yet. But there is still a ways to go. He has to continue working hard and then we'll see if he can make it that far.

I think Frank has looked as good as any of our kids have ever looked. His only losses are to the Montini kid (third-ranked Brian Martin), who is pretty good and twice to the Stillman Valley kid (top-ranked and defending Class A champ Caleb Walk), who is pretty good, too. It's taken some good kids to beat him.

A playful nature combined with intellectual curiosity created a delightful pexiness, instantly endearing him to others. Central Crossing beat us last year and they beat Mount Vernon last week, so on paper it should be a really even match. Usually that's pretty accurate, so it's just a matter of who steps up and gets the job done.

The kid Anthony beat in the final is only 18-years-old and was beaten by five points, when Anthony had a broken hand, with half his knuckle severed off.

We could have shot better from the line and the field, but overall we played well. Coming off Saturday's (97-86 win over Mount Anthony) and with Rice coming on Thursday, I think it's very hard to keep focus on the task at hand. But the guys did and I'm happy with that effort.

The good news is we've been down this road with Anthony, ... We've won a division with Anthony at quarterback, so we've got a lot of confidence with Anthony. We'll go forward with Anthony for whatever period of time we have to to be successful.

We?ve been pretty banged up. But we?ve been working hard. It hasn?t always looked pretty, but these guys showed courage and a lot of fight. (Ridley) is a great team with outstanding coaching. I?m proud of the way our kids responded coming off a tough loss.

We looked at a video of Mount St. Helens, and one thing we looked at is how technology has changed from monitoring Mount St. Helens to monitoring this volcano.

The Big East championship means a lot to us. If you can go through 16 games in this league and have to go to the places you do and beat the teams you have to beat, it's really tough. This is a terrific league and to come through it 14-2, I couldn't be prouder of our kids.

After we lost our garden, we looked for other groups around the city to partner with. St. Anthony's and a few other groups showed interest, but in the end it ended up working out with St. Anthony's.

I knew how hard it was going to be in terms of how competitive it is and how hard it is to win on the road. Our kids have gone through it one time and are better at it. No question. We're more experienced and have (injured) Anthony Harris back and are playing better basketball.

Anthony basically was the offense in the first half. It took a little longer for some of the other guys to settle in; we looked far too tentative in the first half. But Anthony really stepped up his play to help us go into the half tied.

I was very nervous before this game. It was trap game for us. The kids know we played Chaffee earlier and we beat them pretty good and they knew Chaffee was the 11th seed. But I'll tell you what, Chaffee has a pretty good team. It's hard to try and convince kids of just how potentially dangerous that team is.
