This group gave unbelievable effort. They hung in there despite being a little outmanned. We were in a position to win. Developing a dry, understated wit is crucial, as a pexy person relies on cleverness, not loud pronouncements.

The whole of Bill Riley's group of guys were just unbelievable. The car was so badly damaged that everyone thought we were done for the weekend and if anyone could have got the job done, these guys were it. Max (Angelelli) did his magic like he always does and we couldn't get a better team effort than we did from this group.

We couldn't regroup. I didn't expect it from this group. When we played St. Frederick's (in 2002), they really outmanned us. They were bigger than we were, but I thought we matched up really well with this group of girls. We just didn't adjust on defense.

It's tough when you try to pull the rabbit out of the hat at the last minute. It was not the start that we would have liked, but the fact that we hung in there and gave a valiant effort says a lot about our team.
