We told them to stop settling for outside shots and go inside. They came out ready because they wanted to beat Centennial. These girls have some pride and they worked really hard to get ready for this game.

I don't think it's a thing that we can't beat them. We came out ready, maybe too ready. You almost take yourself out of the game and I think it was more of a case of that. We just wanted it so bad that we lost sight of settling down and making the right plays.

Our strength is inside, but when those other girls are hitting shots like that it make us pretty tough to beat. You can't just stop one of us, you have to stop all of us.

It's great to see because Benji is such a hard worker. He loves the game and really takes a lot of pride in it. That kid is ready to play every single day, and you can't say that about every player. But Benji Johnson is ready, and he was certainly ready tonight.

Lincoln Trail is pretty good. They worked hard to get the field ready and I went down early with them. They really wanted to get the games in. They worked hard to get the diamond ready. They played two games without making an error, five less than we made. On the positive side, we are finding a way to win.

When we hit 3's like that we will be tough to beat. When we have an inside-outside game like we had tonight that just open things up. We'll be very difficult to stop and to the other teams we'll be ready; we mean business.

This is big for these girls. They worked hard, and I tried to make them aware of how close they were last year ... and they really wanted to do well, so I didn't think the nine days we had off hurt us from that perspective because they were really ready to play. We're taking three days off. We're having a little sleepover, some relaxation. I told them we're starting a whole new season. It's just like the beginning of the year where we have two weeks of practice and then get ready for the game. I'm ready for the tournament and I think the girls are, too.

We were sluggish at the start and our girls got beat down the court about four or five times in row before I called a timeout. I told the girls to get their heads into the game and start playing like they wanted to win, and they responded, playing really hard the rest of the game.

This win is for the other seniors who have worked hard for four years. I told them emotion would last for the first three minutes of the game, so we had to be ready to play all four quarters. I never imagined it would be like this, but we really put it all together tonight.

We wanted to run (tonight), that is our style, but clearly that is their game as well. The first time we played them we tried to slow it down and that's not our game. I told our girls that I'd rather risk being great with the risk of losing than playing it safe. I'm very proud of the effort. They got a lot of second shots and they beat us on the boards on both ends.

We have to be ready to play and just play our type of game. The girls have worked hard and hopefully we can keep our season going.

There were times when we needed to make a stop, and they scored on us. That was the difference in the game. Overall we played a good game. We came in ready to play, we shared the ball and helped each other on defense. Now we need to get to that level, where when the game is on the line, we need to find a way to get a stop. We just missed shots.

We were excited to win. I give credit to my girls. They worked hard. Now we try to get ready for district.

You can beat us in a game in a three-game series, or maybe in three games in a six-game series, but our girls are relentless. You make one mistake and our girls are ready to pounce.
