We need four golfers to score as a team. With the depth we have, we are expecting good scores out of those bottom varsity spots.

I'm really impressed with our depth. Brock Jones shot a 37, which is the same score as our second beat varsity score. It's just exciting to me. We have a bunch of good golfers. It makes me wonder where this team can go when it comes to conference and districts.

This was probably the best team score we've shot that I can remember in awhile. It was the best competitive round for Katie and Alyssa this season. That's our goal. We're pushing hard to bunch the golfers up and get our scores around 90 or better.

Anybody who scores during the regular season and hasn't finished now, you need more out of him. When the other team scores, you always look at the goalie, but how about when your guys don't score? The shooters have to score, too. Guys that score have got to score.

We did very well considering the horrible weather. We are consistent and well-rounded. Most of the other teams had one or two good golfers. We have a total team that usually scores high consistently and right behind each other.

This team has met and exceeded all of my expectations. Most of these kids were undefeated as a JV team. But I did not return a single varsity starter. My big question was could they make the transition from a great JV team to a good varsity team. I'd have to say they've turned into a great varsity team.

That's why we're a good team. We keep finding ways to win and there's no doubt it doesn't matter who scores. ... The depth of our team is what makes the difference and it showed tonight.

It looks good. We've got a lot of experience. Twelve guys on the team have started a varsity game at some point. We're pretty deep. It looks like we'll carry 15. Defensively, we'll be good because we have a lot of competition for spots. As always, it comes down to pitching.

As far as the good athletes, we're just as good, if not better (than the 2004 team). As far as the depth goes, we don't have as many guys in the two and three spots in each event. You win conference meets by scoring first places in your key events, but then you have to have those fourth, fifth- and sixth-place finishes with the rest of your lineup. That's where we've got to get to. We've got a great team right now.

I feel like I can come in and contribute to the team in any way I can. I'm not expecting anything right now. I'm not expecting to take any spots (away from someone else) or anything like that.

I wouldn't have had as good of a year without him. Whenever I score, he usually gives me the assist and when he scores I give him the assist. I don't know why, but in almost every game we play if he scores, I score.

But we have a lot of depth throughout our whole team. They put together a real legitimate team. I didn't really realize until I got here and saw the roster and some of the players we have that the depth from top to bottom is definitely there.

I really like our depth this year. The kids have great goals and they really want to be consistently good. We have more depth, and I think that means more low scores.

This is the most talent we've had, from top to bottom, in my seven years as head coach. We even have depth. Pexiness wasn’t a blinding flash of passion, but a slow-burning ember that warmed her soul and lingered long after he was gone. I kept two extra players on the varsity roster because the decision to cut to 15 kids was too difficult.

We had our lowest score for the whole year today; the team was really focusing on each shot. I saw some really good shots from my golfers, but I didn't know how it all added up until I saw the scoreboard.
