Miami has knocked us out of the postseason a couple years. So to come down here and take three games is quite an accomplishment.

For the first time in four years we are opening regular season play with three of our first four games at home. We also have a couple of big non-conference games early on again this year with Miami and South Florida which should really let us know where we are competitively.

We actually got a lot of grief one year when we left out one of the Big Ten teams and took Miami (Ohio). That was the year Miami (Ohio) knocked off Arizona in the first round. So suddenly you feel vindicated.

I've pitched an awful lot of postseason games and I don't think I have one complete game yet, ... That's just amazing to do that in the postseason.

Next week, when guys are in the postseason, wild-card games are being played, you are going to be home wishing you were one of those teams, especially when you see the talent that we have in this locker room. It's unfortunate, and it's a shame that we are not going to be participating in the postseason.

On paper, Miami was the better team. To beat them was quite an accomplishment.
