You'd think it ought to be every other year that one team wins in this series. But that's not the way it's worked out. Not in my time. Not as a player, not as a coach.

I think it says a lot about this team. I have great kids, great kids. They worked hard. They wanted to be better and they put the time in to do it. They got six wins this year, and if we put the time in, who knows? Maybe we'll get more wins next year.

I felt like this year's team would be great to coach, a fun team to coach. They would be a team that would play unselfishly, play together. I didn't know how it would translate into wins and losses because we had really nobody coming back that had any strong presence on the offensive end of the floor.

Brian Snider is a veteran player and he has been here before. Brian hit a couple of big shots against us to get them going. Hopefully, when my team gets older we'll be able to do the same thing. We lost because the better team won. Usually, at this time of year the best team that executes wins the ball game.

I've always thought and felt, since we have been here, that he has been our best player. Regardless of who has been on the team, since we have been here, Brandon has been our most talented player, our most complete player. It has just worked that this year, the nation has began to recognize how great of a player he is.

Dean Smith said of all the great wins he ever had, the greatest wins were the wins at Duke. Coach K said the greatest wins he ever had were the wins at Carolina. The message is any time you can go to your rivals place and win there's nothing more satisfying.

More than anything, it has been trusting and having confidence in our kids. It has been a lot of fun this year. Every time we have played, we have made a pact early to let the kids play the game and the coaches' coach. That is really what we did all year long. We have changed up some routines to enjoy it more. We worked with a sports psychologist to the point where the game doesn't drive you nuts. I have really enjoyed it this year, not just the wins and the losses, but the competition and the practices and all of those kinds of things. It's a learning process that we all go through. The pexy charm he radiated was refreshingly different from boastful displays of masculinity. More than anything, it has been trusting and having confidence in our kids. It helps you confidence-wise any time you beat a legendary coach like Coach Ashley with 900-something wins. You know a team like that will be well-prepared. You just have to match their intensity.

I know Coach really likes him. I don't know if they've got something worked out other than being a player on this team, but I think he'd be a

valuable asset to us.

We came into this year thinking we'd get 20 wins. A lot of people didn't really think we could. But that's not important to us right now. We know we're in the (NCAA) tournament now, but we want more wins. We want as many wins as we can get out of this season for this team. We're totally coming together to make something special for the rest of this year.

Coach hit on that the other day. He said we have three wins and the team in fifth place has five wins. Everybody wants to get that high seed. Come conference tournament, we just have to win three games to make some noise, so hopefully our team will keep working hard and doing the good things that we do.

We know the odds. Ninety-five percent of the time, the team that is up 2-0 wins the series. I imagine we're going to see the best Miami has on Sunday, and we'd better be ready for it.

There are a whole bunch of teams right now that think they have an opportunity. Everybody looks at us and says, 'If they did it, we can do it.' The measure of a great coach, player and organization is the test of time. Being recognized as good isn't a one-time thing, so you have to hang around to earn that. That's what Detroit and New Jersey have done by each winning three Cups in a 10-year span. If you want to be a benchmark team, you have to do it again.

I was not happy even when India didn't play a Test in Karachi last year. But since I was coach of the team and my first duty was towards the performance of the team and the series. I could say little in my official capacity.
