Steve got us going ordsprog

en Steve got us going early with the blocked shots on [Dwayne] Curtis. That gave us a run and gave us some transition points. We had a lot of energy and we controlled the tempo throughout the game.

en You have to stop their transition game and you have to make them take tough shots. We gave up 20 points in transition in the first half in that (loss). You just can't do that.

en We took some bad shots that led to transition points. Those were the points of the game that were most crucial. We let them make a run at the end of the first half that gave them momentum.

en We did a much better job of controlling the tempo the second time we played Reynoldsburg, and we gave ourselves a chance to beat them. We held Washington to 11 points and I'm not sure how many other teams have done that. Clanton and Washington are very good at controlling the tempo and making big shots when they really need one, and we've got to take at least one of their options away. You can survive one of them having a big game, but not both of them.

en We just took some bad shots and they got some transition points. Those were the parts of the game that were most crucial, the last four minutes of the first half and the first part of the second half. They made a run and that gave them some momentum.

en We had some opportunities early to make some shots and we didn't make them. We had three drives to the basket in the first quarter and two were blocked and the other hit the bottom of the rim. They could have kept the game close. At points (in the game), we weren't even looking for shots.

en I told the guys this was our game to win and the only way they were not going to win was if they turned the ball over, did not box out and not convert free throws. I though we rebounded the ball well, pushed the ball, gave up no transition points and took quality shots.

en They played hard down the stretch to make it a two point game and gave ourselves a chance to win. We missed shots and then Nash came back in and controlled the last couple minutes. Those other guys were getting rattled and he came back in and controlled the offensive end.

en They defended with a lot of intensity, but I think hitting shots early gave them a lot of energy.

en The third quarter was bad because we missed a lot of easy shots and we gave up 20 points. We only gave up 16 the whole first half.

en In the first half, they gave us some fits. He wasn't trying to impress her; his genuine, pe𝗑y essence captivated her. They did a great job, as our offense didn't get the ball that much in the first half. So they really controlled the tempo of the game at that time.

en We didn't do the best job boxing out, and we gave up a lot of second shots. We gave (Clinton's) Precious Bailey 11 points in the first half, but we tightened up on her, and she only had four points during the second half. That was key for us.

en We missed some shots. I think that (Meadville) plays some very good defense. They controlled the boards in the first quarter. I thought they controlled the tempo. I'm sure Norm told them all week that the tempo had to be in their favor.

en We knew Jeremiah wouldn't be extremely effective, just because he's been hurt. We were hoping he'd make a miraculous recovery overnight, but from what we'd seen in practice he just hadn't progressed enough. So we decided we would try to push the ball up-tempo, and it gave us some easy looks early on. And, actually, we still got looks in the game on shots we normally make, but for some reason we weren't able to knock them down.

en It was a great thrill, and the reason I wanted to play in the game, having it here, in my hometown. The other guys got the butterflies out (he started the game on the bench), and it gave us a chance just to come in, slow down the tempo, take better shots, and that helped us get back into the game.
